Tropico 5
Tropico 5 is a city building game and a hard one too, through countless bribes and assassinations I was able to stay in power but rebels kept attacking. in the end this game is brutal, sure you can declare marshal law to stop elections but then the rebel threat increases and then even your military may become rebels. the game is very well made and every single person has an age, moral, health, hunger, role/job, family and housing. it even goes as far as there work conditions! the game starts off simple but challenging but late game can be brutal and every single decision you make can determine whether you rise to power or fall into debt.
Tropico 5 has a different play style to SimCity because its not taxes you gain your cash from its industries like farming and manufacturing, this makes for a different game altogether, you don't want unemployment because then people cannot afford to buy homes and if your people cannot live in a house they live in run down shacks and die of starvation. Housing can be expensive but I found that giving all your people mansions and making parks everywhere really helped my elections and that meant I didn't have to worry about rebels.
Tropico 5 has war and military but if you build some barracks and one or two tank deports you should be fine for the whole game.
The multiplayer is fun and challenging but there is not enough online community to get a full 4 player match sometimes but when you do get into a match its incredibly fun, on that note the road building net code in Tropico 5 is terrible and 80% of people have trouble building nice roads with lots of lag involved.
the campaign is good but not great.
Rating 8.9/10
